ACTIVATE GOD’S WISDOM

Daniel 1:3-4 (NKJV), Mark 6:2 (NKJV) Then the king instructed … to bring some of the children of Israel …, young men in whom there was no blemish, but good-looking, gifted in all wisdom, possessing knowledge and quick to understand, who had ability to serve in the king’s palace, … *… He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this .. that such mighty works are performed by His hands!

In Proverbs 4:7, the Bible declares that, “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” God Himself showed how much He valued wisdom by the way He responded to Solomon when Solomon only asked for wisdom to be able to lead Israel well. Along with wisdom, God promised him riches, wealth and honour more than every other king both before and after him, (2Chron.1:7-12). Wisdom makes a man’s face to shine, (Eccl.8:1). Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” If you are willing to cry out for knowledge and understanding in your field and other areas of life, God will give you wisdom, (Prov.2:1-6).

For us as believers, wisdom is far beyond what it is to the natural man. For us, wisdom includes having the fear of God (Psa.111:10) and having the mind of Christ (1Cor.2:16). For us, wisdom is hearing God’s word and doing it, (Matt.7:24). We have the wisdom that comes from above, (James 3:17). Christ is our wisdom, (1Cor.1:30).

We have the mind of Christ and as we increase in the knowledge of God especially in the revelation of Christ, this mind of Christ in us is being activated. So we operate in a wisdom that even wise people of the world will marvel at and we will do mighty works (Col.1:9-11) just like Jesus did. As we increase in the wisdom and revelation of Christ, we understand the hope to which God has called us, His exceeding and glorious riches in us and His resurrection power is activate in our lives, (Eph.1:17-20).

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the wisdom of Christ that I have in me. Help me to increase in your word and grant me wisdom in all areas of my life.
