Go to this people and say: ‘hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you will see, and not perceive; for the hearts of this people have grown dull…’

A mystical character draws a timepiece on a gold chain from his pocket. He swings it slowly back and forth in front of his subject. With low, methodical words, he lures him into a trance, “You are getting very sleepy.”

As the conscious is subverted, and the subconscious comes into play, the subject easily succumbs to the master’s directives. If the master tells him he is cold, he shivers. If he tells him he is a chicken, he scratches and squawks across a stage.

He believes a lie, and his subconscious reacts with no inhibition. Reality has been suppressed, and he accepts fiction as fact.

We have been persuaded from political platforms to give up increasing control in our lives. The media undermines and mocks the value of faith and the traditional family. Things once labeled theories are now taught as absolute truth in our educational system. Society has believed the lies and fallen under the spell.

Jesus warned His disciples of coming persecution. He sent them out as sheep among wolves and urged them to be as wise and wary as snakes and as innocent and inoffensive as doves. We must do no less today – spiritually discerning, awake and aware of Satan’s lies.

Today’s Blessing:

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May your ears be attuned to His words and your eyes affixed to His face. May your heart remain firmly in His hands.
