ALL OUR HELP COMES FROM THE LORD

PSALM 121:1-6(TPT)

I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help. But then I realize that our true help and protection come only from the Lord, our creator who made the heavens and the earth. He will guard and guide me, never letting me stumble or fall. God is my keeper, He never forget nor ignore me. He will never slumber nor sleep; He is the Guardian-God for His people,… Jehovah Himself will watch over you;He’s always at your side to shelter you safely in His presence. He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night.

A woman cried to the King of Israel for help and before saying anything else to her, “The king replied,” if the Lord does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?” (2 Kings 6:27 NIV). In John 3:27, “John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven” . God is your source and all your help comes from Him. He can use any means, but you must always remember and acknowledge that your help comes from God. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” (James 1:17). God can help you by His Spirit, with Angels, with people, and He even helps you from within, working in you and strengthening you to do His will, (Ephesians 3:16, Philippians 2:13).

God controls every kind of help that we receive and give. For example He can move us to help people and move people to help us, and at times, He does not allow us help people or allow people help us, because that help may not be the best for that moment. Ruben wanted to help Joseph by rescuing him from the pit and he was sad that he couldn’t (Genesis 37 21- 29). Joseph asked Pharaoh’s Butler to remember him when the butler was released, but the butler forgot him for two whole years (Genesis 40 :12 -14, 21- 23). When it was time for God’s help to come to Joseph, God gave Pharaoh a dream , (Genesis 41- 1). You will be frustrated and you will miss out on God’s blessings if you fix your eyes and trust in men, but you will be joyful and like a tree planted by the waters if you keep your eyes and trust in God (Jeremiah 17:5-8). Your help from God is coming.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank You, that You are my source and all my help comes from you. Help me to keep my eyes on You.
