ALWAYS BE LED AND EMPOWERED BY THE SPIRIT

Romans 8: 4, 13-14 (GNB)
God did this so that the righteous demands of the Law might be fully satisfied in us who live according to the Spirit, and not according to human nature. *For if you live according to your human nature, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death your sinful actions, you will live. Those who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s children.

The only way we can live like Christ and be all that God wants us to be is by the leading and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. When Mary was wondering how she was going to birth Christ, the angel told her, “The Holy Spirit will come down to you, and God’s power will come over you…,” (Luke 1:35, CEV). By the power of the Spirit, you shall live like Christ.

God is at work in you by (His Spirit) making you willing and able to do His good will, (Phil.2:13). You have no reason to be afraid or to fail in any area of your life. Grow in your consciousness of the presence of the Holy Spirit and yield yourself to His leading and empowerment. He will always counsel you, help you, intercede for you, advocate for you, strengthen you, and be your standby, (John 14:16, AMPC).

We do not overcome the lusts of the flesh by trying to overcome them in our own strength and wisdom. We overcome them by yielding to the leading and empowerment of the Spirit. It is as we yield to the leading of the Spirit that we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. As you yield to Him, He will develop and manifest more of the fruit (character and nature) of Christ in you (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control) Gal.5:22-23.

Prayer:
Father, I thank you that I am led and empowered by your Spirit. Please help me to be more conscious and yielded to your Spirit.
