ARISE AND PROPHESY OVER NATIONS AND SITUATIONS

Jeremiah 1:5 & 10, Matthew 16:19b

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee.., and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. *See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. *…and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

By the virtue of the Spirit of God upon our lives, every believer has the ability to prophesy, (Joel 2:28). To prophesy here means to know and declare what is on the mind of God by the inspiration of the Spirit of God, (1Cor.2:9-13). Just like God said to Jeremiah in our first text above, God wants us to know that He has given us the ability to declare His mind and will over nations and situations. Remember that nations refer to both geographically located people groups as well as various spheres of influence and areas of city.

Something amazing happened in 2Kings 7. In the midst of a very terrible famine in the land, Elisha prophesied that by the next day, food will be so abundant and very cheap. On hearing this, one of the king’s officials said, “That can’t happen—not even if the LORD himself were to send grain at once!” (vs.2, GNB). Well, it so happened that through four lepers, God divinely made that prophecy come to pass.

Beloved, as we arise and boldly declare God’s mind and will about various nations and situations, God will divinely make His will that we declare come to pass. Valleys will be raised up and mountains will be
brought low. The hearts of men will be stirred up to execute the will of God and there will be miraculous signs and manifestations on the earth.

Action Point:
Open your mouth right now and declare God’s mind and will over various nations, spheres of influence and situations.
