The CDC (Center for Disease Control) says that stress can actually kill you. So, we’d better deal with it, right? Some of the common stressors in life are Ambition – our striving for success, with all the drive and activity that accompanies that pursuit. And Storms create stress. A challenging medical diagnosis, a family problem. Our Appetites cause stress, those often unhealthy desires that cause us to ignore the loving boundaries God has placed around our lives. Then what about Procrastination? We clutter up our lives and put off the things we know we should do.

Did you notice the acrostic I used here: Ambition, Storms, Appetites, Procrastination. A.S.A.P. What should we do about stress? We need to deal with it ASAP – As Soon As Possible. And the Psalmist tells us how – Just be still. Be still, God says, and know that I am God.
