ASK GOD TO OPEN YOUR EYES TO HIS MIGHTY POWER IN YOU

Ephesians 1:16-20 (GNB)

…I remember you in my prayers and ask…the glorious Father, …that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know …how very great is his power at work in us who believe. This power working in us is the same as the mighty strength which he used when he raised Christ from death and seated him at his right side in the heavenly world.

If we really knew the kind of power that is at work in us as God’s children, we will never be afraid or intimidated by any situation in our lives. Because of this mighty power of God at work in us, nothing is impossible for us, (Mark 9:23). For our text above, the Amplified Bible Classic says this power is at work both in us and for us.

It was by the power of God that Moses succeeded in delivering the Israelites from their captivity in Egypt. Even when Pharaoh’s magicians tried to contend with and replicate God’s power, it swallowed up and overcame their power. The power of God available to you is always more than the power in any person or situation coming against you. Beloved, greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world, (1 John 4:4). Nothing can limit you.

This power at work in you is the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in you. “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you,” (Rom.8:11). By this resurrection power of the Spirit, God’s power in you can give life to anything in you and anything around you. The more your eyes are opened to this power, the more it will flow out of you.

Prayer:
I thank you, Heavenly Father, for your great and mighty power at work in me and for me. Open my eyes more to this power.
