BE A BOLD WITNESS FOR CHRIST

Acts 2:14, 41, Acts 14:3 (GNB)

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:… * Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. *The apostles stayed there for a long time, speaking boldly about the Lord, who proved that their message about his grace was true by giving them the power to perform miracles and wonders.

The great harvest of souls in Acts 2:41 was a major result of the outpouring and move of the Spirit that took place in the preceding verses. By the power of the Holy Spirit, Peter, who denied Christ three times was empowered to speak boldly about that same Christ and there was a great harvest of souls. Jesus told His disciples that by the Spirit, they will be empowered to be His witnesses from where they were to the ends of the earth, (Acts 1:8). By that same Spirit, you and I have been empowered to be bold witnesses of Christ.

Many believers are not bold to witness for Christ because they are too conscious of themselves and what they are to say. But do you know that the message Peter preached in our first text above was not a pre – meditated or well prepared one? He just spoke about Christ as the Spirit of God gave Him the utterance and boldness. You too can speak boldly about Christ as the Spirit gives you utterance. Stir up the Spirit of God that is in you and always be conscious of Him. Be conscious of the great salvation, deliverance and blessing that God wants to bring about through your message.

People will not believe if they do not hear and they will not hear if you do not preach to them, (Rom.10:14). Let your feet be armed with the willingness and preparedness to preach the gospel, (Eph.6:15). God has confidence in you. Yield to the Spirit of God and be ready to take advantage of every opportunity to preach the gospel. Many lives will be touched, saved and blessed through you.

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank you for the lives that you will touch, save and bless through me. I yield myself to you. Use me to boldly preach the gospel.
