BE A BUILDER

‘’By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.’’ Hebrews 11:7 KJV

Noah was a builder. He built the ark and he built altars. Whatever you want in life, build it. If you want success, a good family, good education, good marriage and so on, build it according God’s pattern.

A good and a happy home takes hard work! I have been married to my wife for the past 40 years. For 40 years, we’ve been building our home. I desired my wife before I married her. But now, I love her. No matter what changes, I have already concluded that this is who I want. So, before you say, ‘’I do,’’ settle it in your heart if you will like to be seeing that person for the rest of your life, no matter what changes.

When my wife and I started out, we were fighting because we were coming from different backgrounds. What I thought was right for her, she thought it was not right. But when we eventually understood each other, it became enjoyable. She is the one who taught me how to watch lawn tennis. I didn’t understand the sport until she taught me. She also got me so interested in football. Can you imagine that? A lady! Now, when either football or lawn tennis is on, we sit down and enjoy it together. You see, it is not every time we speak in tongues.

Let me tell you, marriage is sweet. Just understand the dynamics. You must be intentional about building the kind of home you desire. It will never happen by default. Don’t also forget that things change. My wife was not as robust as she is now when I saw her. But as time went on, there were changes. Don’t start quarrelling, saying, ‘’this is not the way you were when I met you.’’ Stop that! It is the same person you married.
