Be Diligent in Hearing and Obeying God’s Voice
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (AMP) If you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.
Isaiah 55:2-3a (GNB) Why spread money on what does not satisfy? Why spend your wages and still be hungry? Listen to me and do what I say, and you will enjoy the best food of all. “Listen now, my people, and come to me; … and you will have life!”
Yesterday, we focused on diligence in our relationship and fellowship with God. One of the results of such diligence is that it increases our sensitivity towards God. We must learn to listen for the voice of God I prayer and meditation on God’s word. We must renew our minds with what God says about us and act in line with it. For us to be as productive as God wants us to be, we must make hearing and doing God’s word a major priority in our lives. Hearing and doing God’s word builds divine stability into your life. In Matthew 7:24, Jesus said, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. And when the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”
Every time you hear and do God’s 2word, y9ou are practicing your new and real nature, which is just like Christ. In James 1:22-25, the Bible says, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For it any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty is the revelation of Christ. As we see ourselves based on who we are in Christ and act in line with that revelation, we activate the blessings and the life of God in us. Just as Mary told the servants in the wedding at Cana, as you do whatever Jesus says to you, you activate His abundance and glory in your life, John 2:1-11.
Faith Declaration:
The word of God is my reality. As I see myself in Christ, I renew my mind and I and continually act in line with God’s word.
