Be Diligent in Preaching the Gospel of Christ

2 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJV) I charge thee… before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant n season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2 Timothy 4:1-2 (GNB) In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and because he is coming to rule as King, I solemnly urge you to preach the message, to insist upon proclaiming it (whether the time is right or not), to convince, reproach, and encourage, as you teach with all patience.

In 2 Timothy 2:1-4, Apostle Paul said, “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” Often times when Apostle Paul spoke about suffering for Christ, he was referring to suffering for preaching the gospel of Christ. You are a soldier in the army of God and God uses you to deliver men from darkness and to bring them into His light by the preaching of the gospel of Christ, Acts 26:16-18.

Do not be discouraged and do not give up. Beloved, continue to labour in the preaching of the gospel. Use every means and media possible. Be ready to grab every opportunity that comes your way to snatch men out of the power of darkness and bring them into the kingdom of God. Let the passion of Christ burn in your heart. Let the joy of what Christ has done on the cross cause you to be so excited and eager to spread the message of His love and salvation unto others. Have compassion in your heart for the lost and for all who are under the bondage and affliction of sin and the devil. Preach Christ. Do not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is the power of God to save all who believe it, Rom. 1:16. In Corinthians 1:22-24, Apostle Paul said, “For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.”
