Be Diligent in Your Relationship with God

Acts 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Daniel 6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did afore time.

Ephesians 6:18 (CEV) Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people.

We must never let anything choke the word of God and prayer out of our lives., Mark 4:18. Jesus was very diligent with His time of prayer and fellowship with God the Father. Referring to Jesus, Mark 1:35 says, “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” Luke 15:16 (CEV) says, “But Jesus would often go to some place where he could be alone and pray.” The Bible reminds us that there were times that Jesus continued all night in prayer to God, Luke 6:12. Jesus Himself instructed that “… men ought always to pray and not to faint,” Luke 18:1. We are further urged to “pray without ceasing,” 1 Thes. 5:17. The Bible says, “constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength],” Rom. 12:12 (AMP).

Also pray for others diligently. In Colossians 1:7, Apostle Paul described Epaphras as a faithful minister of Christ and in Chapter 4:12, he added that Epaphras always laboured in prayers for the believers to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. Pray in the spirit fervently and diligently. Apostle Paul prayed so much in the Spirit that in 1 Corinthians 14:18 he said, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all.” Mediate on God’s word day and night, Josh. 1:8. Give yourself to the study of the word of God, especially to the revelation of Christ. The way we labour to enter God’s rest is by labouring in the word of God, Heb. 4:11-12. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, not scantily, Col. 3:16. In Acts 20:32, Apostle Paul assures us that it is the word of His grace that will build you up and give you your inheritance in God. The grace to be diligent in the study of the word of God and in prayers is upon you today.
