BE INTENTIONAL

“Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.”

Proverbs 24:27 KJV

Without a doubt, the world we live in today has been quite challenging. There has been political instability, dwindling global economy, insecurity, outbreak of deadly diseases and of course the advancement of the New Age Movement. Even the things we once held sacred are being ridiculed daily on social media and guess what? People are buying their lies. Everything around us is spiraling downwards. If there was any time we needed to brace up, take our place and show the world the way, it is now.

Looking at the above scripture, one thing is clear: There is need to build resilience and capacity in preparation for what is to come. This is what enabled Apostle Paul to accomplish his purpose. He knew exactly what he was called to do and to whom he was called to do it with. He was never in doubt. He knew is assignment was to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the Gentiles. Paul pursued what he was called to do with great passion. He was intentional and for this, he achieved so much for the Kingdom.

We live in a time when people are bold and ready to question your authority. The days of explaining things away are over. As a believer, you can’t attribute everything to the anointing. Yes, beyond the anointing, you must ensure that you are biblically correct and current to be able to handle today’s assignment. The above scripture says you need to “prepare your work outside and make it ready before you build your house”. What does that mean? It simply means being intentional. It also means building capacity, relevance and sustainability.

Beloved, the gospel has not changed but the method is fast changing. Therefore, you must know how to stay relevant. I declare over your life that your light will no longer grow dim. You will arise and shine. The earth will yield its goodness for you. You will not weep nor lament. You will surely fulfill purpose in Jesus name.
