“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;” – Colossians 4:2

Godliness is the quality of being like God. God has many attributes: God is love, God is light and God is His Word. When you become godly you are filled with these positive traits and become like God in your behaviour and character.

Godliness is the personal trait in a person that makes him pray at the right time. Most people pray in time of trouble but a godly person will pray at a time when God can be found. A person who prays will be helped by God. When you meet someone who prays you will discover that he has one of the most important positive traits a human being can have. The most successful pastors that I know have the positive trait being godly and praying at a time when God can be found.

“For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him” (Psalm 32:6).

Godliness is a positive personal trait that will set you apart. A godly person will always be distinguished and set apart because of the God factor in his life. Do you want God to set you apart? Do you want to be distinguished amongst your brethren? Then be a godly person.

“But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the Lord will hear when I call unto him” (Psalm 4:3).
