Memorise: Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 2 Corinthians 6:17

Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

  1. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
  2. And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
  3. And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
  4. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
  5. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Bible Reading In One Year: 2 Chronicles 32-33, John 18:24-40

MESSAGE:

It is great to partner with the Most High God. However, there are certain conditions you must satisfy if you truly want to be Gods partner.

First, you must not partner with unbelievers to do evil. This is because you have been made righteous by the Blood of the Lamb and they havent had that privilege yet. You are light but they are darkness. Both cannot co-exist; one must displace the other.

The second divine partnership requirement is that you must come out from among unbelievers. I cannot see how a true child of God will be comfortably seated at a party organised by an unbeliever.

You know that you have been brought up in the way of the Lord, but you get to school and start frolicking with wayward children. This is unfortunate. You are supposed to be the one they point to as an example of a well behaved child. You are royalty, you are a light.

Note that God promised to receive you when you separate yourself (2 Corinthians 6:17). Don’t miss that divine reception!

Action Point:

Watch the company you keep.

Hymn: Stand Up, Stand Up For Jesus

  1. Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
    Ye soldiers of the cross;
    Lift high His royal banner,
    It must not suffer loss:
    From vict’ry unto vict’ry
    His army shall He lead,
    Till every foe is vanquished
    And Christ is Lord indeed.
  2. Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
    The trumpet call obey;
    Forth to the mighty conflict
    In this His glorious day.
    Ye that are men, now serve Him
    Against unnumbered foes;
    Let courage rise with danger.
    And strength to strength oppose.
  3. Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
    Stand in His strength alone;
    The arm of flesh will fail you;
    Ye dare not trust your own.
    Put on the Gospel armour,
    And, watching unto prayer,
    Where duty calls, or danger,
    Be never wanting there.
  4. Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
    The strife will not be long:
    This day the noise of battle,
    The next the victor’s song;
    To him that overcometh
    A crown of life shall be;
    He with the King of glory,
    Shall reign eternally.
