BE WATCHFUL IN ALL THINGS

2TIMOTHY 4:5, LUKE 21:34 (TPT)

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of the ministry. Be careful that you never allow your hearts to grow cold. Remain passionate and free from anxiety and the worries of this life. Then you will not be caught off guard by what happens. Don’t let me come and find you drunk or careless in living like everyone else.

To be watchful is to be sensitive and diligent. God wants us to be watchful, sensitive and diligence in every area of our lives and at all times. When we are not watchful, we ignore certain warning signs of danger and may end up opening up ourselves two setting evils that could have been avoided. it is similar to what happens when a car owner ignores or fail to check the indicator that the oil in the car is almost empty. 1peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, work it about seeking whom he may devour,” To be sober is to be self-controlled and alert the devil always seeks to divour or weaken your faith in God.

We can be watchful as believers by hiding ourselves to the promptings and leading of the Holy Spirit and by remaining strong in faith. focus on Jesus and learn totally on him. do not be carried away with anything and do not take things for granted in any area of your life. Do not let the pressure or pleasure cause you to become weak in your faith. instead of being drunk with wine or anything else remain field with the spirit Ephesians 5:18. Be watchful over your family and responsibilities. As a leader be watchful over the lives of those God has placed in your charge (Proverb 27:23) Be watchful over the lives of other believers. especially new converts. and be watchful in all your endeavours.

PRAYER:
Pray in the spirit right now and lead yourself to the leading of the spirit. Ask him to help you to be watchful in all things.
