BEING AFTER GOD’S HEART

Acts 13:21-22 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

If God were to give a testimony about your life right now, what would that testimony be? What type of man, woman, boy or girl would God describe you as? Would God describe you as someone who is after His heart? What is your life seeking after? A person that is after God’s own heart is someone who is passionate about God and passionate about the things that God is passionate about. It is someone who values what God values.

Do you know what God values? Are those the same things you value and are passionate about? Or are your values and passions what the people of the world value and are passionate about? When you are a person who is after God’s own heart, your life will bring so much joy and pleasure to God. The Bible tells us that God made all things for His pleasure (Rev.4:11).

Whenever you value and are passionate about God and the things that God values and is passionate about, you will find yourself fulfilling God’s purpose for your life and God will bless and reward you for this. Being a person after God’s own heart attracts divine promotions. Just like God found David and made him king, God will promote you and position you to fulfil His purpose for your life and cause you to influence the lives of others.

Prayer Focus:

Tell God how much you love Him and ask Him to help you to love and value the things that He loves and values.
