BELIEVE THE GOOD NEWS

‘’And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.’’ Luke 2:10-11 KJV

Grace has supplied everything, but faith takes. Faith takes because it is already available. Don’t try to use your faith to get. Faith takes by believing God’s report. Faith takes by believing the good news. Let’s see an illustration from Luke 2:6-7: “And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn” (Luke 2:6-7 KJV).

Notice that the baby had been born by God’s orchestration. And according to the Bible, the good news of the birth of the Saviour was announced to certain shepherds. “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” ((Luke 2:10-11 KJV).

Now take note of this: The angel came and brought them good news. Just like God said you are righteous! Just like God said He has already met your needs. Grace has supplied! Now what those people did with that grace depended entirely on them. So, it was up to them to act on the good news.

All they heard were words. They did not see the manger, but they said: “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass” (Luke 2:15 NKJV). That was faith at work! When you put action to what God said, you will see. Until you put action to it, don’t expect to see. When God speaks to you, act on it. When they got there, they saw even as the angel had said.
