BENEFITS OF SALVATION(1)

Dear Reader,

Welcome to the month of June! I count it a great privilege to bring you God’s Word, and I believe you will experience a great visitation in Jesus’ name. This week, I will focus on The Benefits of Salvation. 

Salvation is confessing and accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal saviour, thereby forsaking your sinful ways. Salvation is absolutely for the benefit of man, and you have everything to gain and nothing to lose by being saved. Your salvation changes your own status, not God. The Word says:  And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life (Matthew 19:29).                 

When you are saved, born again, and in the fold. There are unfathomable benefits of salvation. Therefore, let us briefly examine some of them here:

• You are Restored. After the fall, man lost the enviable position he had with God at the beginning of creation. However, that broken relationship is restored at salvation, and you are reconciled with Him through the Blood of Jesus.
• You are a Son/daughter of God. Anyone who gives his/her life to God becomes a child of God automatically. At salvation, you are adopted into the Kingdom, and the Scripture does not mince words about this. The Word says: But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name (John 1:12). When you give your life to Christ, the Holy Spirit starts dwelling in you, and He give guidance to your steps. The Word says: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (Romans 8:14). You are not just God’s creature but a child of God. As a child of God, you are no more an alien in your Father’s house, that is, God’s Kingdom, and you are free to enjoy the Father-child relationship.
• You Hear God’s Voice. At salvation, the barrier that sin created between man and God is supernaturally removed, and you can hear God’s voice as He communes with you. Jesus said in a parable, My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand (John 10:27-28).What a great privilege to be led and guided by God! What a new level of comfort and peace you will begin to enjoy knowing He is there to speak to your heart, to lead you and give you eternal life. In addition, no one can pluck you out of His hand!

What a joy to enjoy all these benefits from God. However, until you are saved, you cannot experience these benefits. If you are not born again, please say this prayer of faith: Dear Lord, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Now, I know I am born again!
