Memorise: But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. – John 4:23
READ: Psalms 67:5-7
5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
MESSAGE:
The one who can worship God is the one who God will call a man after His own heart. For me the best benefit of worshipping God is God Himself coming down to meet with you. John 4:23 says:
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.”
While others may be seeking the face of God to tell Him their needs, God is the one who is seeking those who will worship Him. For example, King Solomon in 2 Chronicles 1:6 worshipped God with 1000 burnt offerings and did not make any requests, but God Himself came to seek him in the middle of the night, telling him to ask for whatever he wants. I think I prefer God asking me to tell Him whatever I want than me going to Him with requests.
I want you to make worship your lifestyle as from today. Those who worship God are never in want of a miracle, because they experience miracles everyday. People see me and say God answers my prayers by fire. Well it is because, if I am to pray for one hour, I would spend 55 minutes worshipping Him, so by the time I am done, He will be the one asking me for what I want, then as I make the request, He answers immediately.
Action Point:
Worship God today for at least one hour and make this a lifestyle.
Bible In One Year: 1 Chronicles 8-10; John 8:37-59
Hymn 16:
1.To God be glory, great things He hath done,
So loved he the world that He gave us His son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin
And opened the life gate that all may go in.
Chorus:
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord
Let the earth hear his voice!
Praise the Lord Praise the Lord
Let the people rejoice!
O Come to the father,
Through Jesus the son;
And give Him the glory!
Great things he hath done!
2.O perfect redemption,
The purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
3.Great things he hath taught us
Great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be Our wonder,
Our transport when Jesus we see
