BIG THINGS START WITH SMALL THINGS

“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase”. Job 8:7 (KJV)

I learned of a man who retired from his place of work and never succeeded in anything in life. He became frustrated, confused, and discouraged, wondering what to do. He didn’t have enough money. He had practically nothing to retire into. One day, he was sitting on a pavement and thinking about his life. A thought went through his mind, saying, what are you good at? Meanwhile, at about sixty-five years old, the man was already old. He remembered that he could fry chicken with good taste. When he fries chicken, everyone around will desire his chicken. So he began to fry chicken.

Today, even after his death, his franchise is all over the world. The chicken has the same recipe in different nations of the world because he refused to quit. There is scarcely any nation or continent in the world where you will not hear of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). He decided that he would not die unsung. He recorded his name in the sand of time.

Beloved, I want to ask you the same question. What are you good at? What can you do? What skills do you have? When such questions come, the answer could be sweeping. It could be washing dishes. It could be washing restrooms. What are you good at that when you do it, it comes out good? Start with it. Start from where you are! Big things start with small things.

Your engagement is so vitally important. The beautiful thing is that when you start, God will put wings on you that will make you fly. It will not take a long time before He announces you. He will intensify and amplify what you are doing. He will ensure you recover all you have lost over the years.

Don’t despise the days of small things. If you want to experience big things and acceleration, then do something. Nothing wrong in starting small.
