Blessings That Come With the Peace of God

Isaiah 55:12-13 (NKJV) “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

Psalms 23:2 (NKJV) He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

Psalms 127:7 (AMP) May peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces!

One of the blessings that come along with the peace of God is divine leading and guidance. As we pray or declare God’s promises and receive His peace in our hearts, we are able to receive divine leading and guidance from God. The Bible reminds us that when we pray to God and are double minded, we are being unstable like the eave of the sea being tossed by the wind. IN this state, we cannot receive wisdom or anything from God, James 1:5-8. The Bible goes further to note that we should let the peace of God rule or act as an umpire in our hearts, Col. 3:15a (KJV & AMP). In the Good News Bible, this verse reads, “The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make…” Often times, God speaks to us with a still small voice; just like He spoke to Elijah in 1 Kings 19:12-13. It might not be an audible voice but a witness of the Spirit in our hearts, Rom. 8:16. Sometimes the Spirit of God can give us a release of peace or a restrain by an uneasiness on our inside about a decision we are trying to make, Acts 16:6-7. The Holy Spirit can also bring God’s word to our remembrance (John 14:26) or give you answers, wisdom or ideas about what to do, Dan. 2:19.

Another blessing that comes along with the peace of God is prosperity. As we follow the divine leading and guidance of God, we experience wholeness, blessings, fruitfulness and increase in our lives. As we follow the leading of God our Shepherd, He causes us to lie down in green pastures and He leads us beside still waters. Psalms 147:14 (CEV) says, “God lets you live in peace, and he gives you the very best wheat.” Lamentations 3:17 (NIV) adds, “I have been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.” No matter the noise on the outside, as you remain in the peace of God, you will keep prospering.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the divine leading and guidance as well as the divine prosperity that Your peace is producing in my life.
