Carrying and Birthing God’s Desire for Nations
Genesis 25:23(NIV), Psalm 2:8(AMP), Jeremiah 1:5(CEV, GNB)
The LORD said to her, “Two nations are in your womb…. Ask of Me, and I will give you the nations as Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession. The LORD said to me, “I chose you before I gave you life, and before you were born I selected you to be a prophet to the nations.” The LORD said: “Jeremiah, I am your Creator, and before you were born, I chose you to speak for Me to the nations.
God has a great burden and desires for nations. In the Bible the word nations refers to both people who live in a geographical location, such as various countries of the world, as well as various spheres of life and areas of influence in society –like the business world, the medical world, family, education, media, sports, culture , politics , environment, etc. As we see in our first text above, God also refers to individuals as nations. Locked up in every individual are both great potential and even generations.
A lot of evil is going on in the nations of the world today that is not God’s will. God wants His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth (in all nations of the world ) as it is in Heaven. This is why Jesus has sent us to go and disciple all nations for Him. He wants all nations to come under His influence and rulership and to be aligned to Christ. It is His desire for all people in all countries and spheres of influence to have the life of Christ and to live their lives and carry out what they do in a manner that honours Christ.
God has a great harvest in every nation and He wants us to partner with Him to birth this harvest for the nations. God not only wants us to pray for labourers to be sent into the nations; He also desires for us to go into these nations to reap His harvest. God wants to fill our hearts with Kingdom vision and passion for nations. He wants to fill our hearts with great strategies and innovations that will advance his Kingdom in the nations I pray that God will grant you the strength like Apostle Paul had, to consistently mention ( Philemon 1:4 ) and travail as in birth until Christ is formed in all nations( Galatians 4: 19).
Prayer Focus:
Pray for the various countries and spheres of influence, as led by the Spirit. Pray for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done in them..
