Cast Your Crown at God’s Feet

Revelation 4:10-11(GNB), Esther 4:13-14(CEV)

The twenty-four elders fall down before the one who sits on the throne, and worship Him who lives forever and ever. They throw their crowns down in front of the throne and say Our Lord and God! You are worthy to receive glory, honour, and power for you created all things, and by Your will they were given existence and life.” Don’t think that you will escape…. just because you live in the king’s palace….. it could be that you were made queen for a time like this!”

One of the ways we can cast our crowns at God’s feet is to sincerely worship and honour God for the increase , promotion, and influence that He brings into our lives. We must always acknowledge God as the source of every good thing that comes into our lives. We must consistently give God the glory and honour that He deserves for everything He does in our lives. All good and perfect gift comes from God the Father of lights ?James 1: 17). Promotion comes from God (Psalms 75:6-7). Yes perhaps you worked hard to achieve what you have but it is God who gave you that ability and opportunity in the first place, so always acknowledge God’s grace (1 Corinthians 15:10.)

One sows, another waters but God cause the increase (1Corinthians 3:6). In our first text above those who fall down casting their crowns at God’s feet in worship are described as elders. We must never reach a point whereby due to our age, experience, influence or affluence we can no longer lay everything aside to worship and honour God for everything He is and all He has done for us.

Another way that we cast our crown at God’s feet is by being willing to yield ourselves to God so that he can use the increase, promotion, and influence that we have been given to advance His will and purpose on the earth. This is the primary reason God gave them to you in the first place. He did not give them to you for yourself -aggrandizement. See everything that God gives you as a tool to fulfill purpose and advance His will on earth. A time came when the lives of God’s people were at stake and Esther had to take a risk by going before the king on behalf of them. She and all the Jews prayed before she embarked on her mission and by the favour of God, both her life and the lives of God’s people were spared.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I worship and honour You for every increase, promotion and influence You have brought into my life. I yield them all to you.
