CELEBRATE ALL DAY, EVERY DAY!

December 24, 2021“Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in Him!” Philippians 4:4 (The Message Bible)

Did you know there are places that celebrate Christmas all year long?

For example:

1. NORTH POLE, ALASKA

You wouldn’t be faulted for mistaking this 2200-person town for Santa’s home base. While it’s closer to Fairbanks, Alaska than the true North Pole, it does feature several festive landmarks such as Santa Claus Lane, Kris Kringle Drive, and an expansive Santa Claus house that’s open year-round.

2. SANTA CLAUS, INDIANA

Santa Claus, Indiana, is the state’s number one destination for year-round holiday festivities. Kids looking to reach the community’s famous post office can mail their holiday wish lists to 45 North Kringle Place, Santa Claus, IN 47579.

3. BETHLEHEM, PENNSLYVANIA

Finding Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, isn’t difficult for those nearby—just follow the electric star that glows every night of the year and looks down on the town from its perch on South Mountain. Originally made from incandescent bulbs strung on plywood, the star of Bethlehem currently consists of steel and LED lights that glow every night of the year.

So, in light of these places that celebrate Santa Claus and the “traditions” of Christmas all year long (and there’s nothing wrong with what they’re doing!), here are questions to consider:

  1. Do we celebrate what Christmas really means all year long?
  2. Do we constantly remind ourselves that our Savior and Lord, the King of kings, was born in a lowly manger stall on that night in Bethlehem?
  3. And that He gave up everything to come to earth in order that we might have eternal life through our faith and trust in Him?

In Philippians 4:4-5, Paul gives us yet another important reason to celebrate Christmas every day. Jesus is coming again and we’ve got to tell everyone!

Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!

To celebrate the real reason for Christmas all year long has nothing to do with Santa Claus.

It has everything to do with Jesus and revisiting in our spirit what He has done on our behalf.

Let the wonder of that first Christmas fill your life with joy today and every day.
