CHRIST HAS REDEEMED YOU FROM EVERY CURSE
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ…” Galatians 3:13-14 KJV
Jesus became sin so that we can become righteous. He died so that we will no more die. He was wounded for our transgression, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him and by his stripes we are healed. So, the greatest honour any believer can do to Jesus is to say: “for everything you suffered, I receive the benefit.” It is arrogance to try to reinvent the wheel. He already paid the price. All you need to do is just enjoy Jesus because He is too good.
God expects us to identify with the fellowship of His suffering. But many who call themselves believers are not identifying with what He did. They go around telling people, “you are not good enough, you are suffering from ancestral curse, in your family, no one can ever build a house…” You say you’re a believer, yet you believe all that! Child of God, Christ had redeemed us from every curse. Don’t you think that Jesus could have been killed without going to the cross? Of course! There are different ways to kill someone but the reason He was hung on the cross is that the law in the book of Deuteronomy says: “…For he that is hanged is accursed of God…” (Deuteronomy 21:23 KJV).
Thus, Jesus shed his blood for the remission of our sins. He had to hang on the cross to ensure that the curse over our lives is broken. So, if anyone tells you that you are under any curse, tell the person he does not know the Bible neither does he understand what Christ had done. In Christ, we do not partake of any generational curse but we are partakers of generational blessings. Others may have been stranded but not you. Your case is different!
