CHRIST: OUR PASSOVER LAMB

1Corinthians 5:7 (CEV, TPT), Psa.107:1-2 Get rid of the old yeast! Then you will be like fresh bread made without yeast, and that is what you are. Our Passover lamb is Christ, who has already been sacrificed. *So remove every trace of your “leaven” of compromise with sin so that you might become new and pure again. For indeed, you are clean because Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us. *O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.

Do you know that the wonderful things that happened after God asked the Israelites to place the blood of a lamb on their doorposts and eat the flesh of the lamb (Exo. 12) are nothing compared to the glorious things that we experience as a result of Christ’s suffering and death for us? Christ, the real Passover Lamb of God, has been slain for us and we are now partakers of the blessings of His body and of His blood. The Passover reflects how God manifested His power and delivered His people Israel from bondage in Egypt. Because of Christ, this amazing power and deliverance is available for ALL who believe.

As Israel was redeemed from bondage in Egypt, God also redeems everyone who puts their faith in what Christ did on the Cross. Also, just as the Israelites enjoyed miracles, God’s provisions and divine sustenance on their way to the Promised Land (Psalm 105:37), you too will experience even more of God’s miracles, divine provision and sustenance as you journey into all the promises of God for your life.

Something else that the sacrifice of Christ reveals is the great value that God has placed upon you. God did not use mere silver or gold to purchase your redemption. He used the precious blood of Christ, (1Pet.1:18-19). The blood of Christ is superior to every other blood and His sacrifice is superior to every other sacrifice, (Heb.10:4 & 14). This blood of Christ cleanses and washes away sin and purifies us once and for all. Always remember that by Christ’s precious sacrifice, you are delivered from the power of darkness and have been translated into the kingdom of Christ, (Col.1:13).

Faith Declaration:
Christ is my Passover Lamb. I have been delivered and set free from every form of limitation and bondage. I enjoy God’s abundance.
