CHRIST’S CROSS DESTROYED THE DEVIL’S POWER

Hebrews 2:14-15 (LB)

Since we, God’s children, are human beings—made of flesh and blood—he became flesh and blood too by being born in human form; for only as a human being could he die and in dying break the power of the devil who had the power of death. Only in that way could he deliver those who through fear of death have been living all their lives as slaves to constant dread.

It is unfortunate that some believers are more aware of the devil and the power they believe he has over them because they are still unaware of Christ’s power and the great things Christ accomplished for us through His Cross. This ignorance is the source of many people’s fear and enslavement. Beloved, I am delighted to inform you that the devil no longer has any power over you as a result of what Christ accomplished on the Cross. The devil no longer has anything to hold against you. He has nothing to use in condemning or accusing you in front of God. All the evidence the devil had against you has been destroyed by Jesus’ death on the Cross. The Bible says, “God wiped out the charges that were brought against us for disobeying the Law of Moses.” He took them away and nailed them to the cross. Christ there defeated all powers and forces. When he celebrated his victory, he let the entire world see them being led away as prisoners,” (Col.2:14-15, CEV).

According to Colossians 2:15 (TPT), “then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse us.” And, using the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a triumphant procession. He wasn’t their prisoner; they were his!” Christ has become their head (Col.2:10).

Faith Declaration:
The devil, as well as all principalities and powers, have been rendered powerless in my life as a result of Christ’s Cross
