Memorise: Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. Isaiah 41:21
Bible Reading: Matthew 8:1-3
- When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
- And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
- And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Bible Reading In One Year: Isaiah 29-30; Ephesians 6:1-24
Message:
In Matthew 8:1-3, a man was afflicted with leprosy. All through the years, he kept silent about it, but when it was about to kill him, he ran to Jesus and he was healed. Similarly, a prophets widow who had two sons was in debt, and had suffered so much in the hands of her creditors who had decided to take her sons as slaves. But the moment she cried to Elijah, her lack became abundance.
At the wedding of Cana, they ran out of wine, but Mary told Jesus and He solved the problem. In those days at the Redemption Camp, certain birds swarmed on trees and destroyed them. When we shoot at them in a bid to kill them, they even increased. Meanwhile, the convention was approaching, so I reported the matter to God. To my surprise, before long, a band of eagles descended and devoured all of them. God expects you to report your needs to Him and not complain about them. Do you know that when you have a need that you are sure your parents can give you, you will get it faster when you tell it to God first?.
Key Point:
Rather than complain to friends, report it to God.
Hymn: My Faith Looks Up To Thee
- My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Saviour divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away;
O let me from this day
Be wholly Thine. - May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire;
As Thou hast died for me,
O may my love to Thee
Pure, warm, and changeless be,
A living fire. - While life’s dark maze | tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside. - When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold, sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll, Blest Saviour, then in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
O bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul.
