CONTINUE TO HOLD ON TO THE WORD

He said, “Come ahead”. Jumping out of the boat, Peter walked on the water to Jesus”Matthew 14:29 (MSB)In Christ, the believer is an overcomer. In Christ, the position of the believer is above only. Like Peter, many of us, as the Message translation describes in Matthew 14:29, “jumped out of the boat” with the word. However, the important question now is: Are you still holding on to that Word that you received? Are you still keeping your eyes on Jesus, irrespective of your challenges? Or are you amongst those who have, for a moment, been distracted by the tales of woes of the economists, politicians, and the news media? Do you still judge God faithful to do that which He said He would, even in the face of seemingly contradictory evidence? If there is one thing which is very crucial that you do as you live this life, it is to keep your eyes solely on Jesus, and avoid distractions.  You keep your eyes on Jesus by holding on to His Word. The book of Hebrews 12 :2 tells us: “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; …….”(KJV). The book of Isaiah 50:7 says, “For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore, shall I not be confounded: therefore, have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.”You cannot trust in God wholeheartedly and fail. You cannot look unto Jesus and see shame. I declare to you that God will do you good. You will not see shame. You will not be disappointed. God will favour you. Everything is working together for your good. There is no shortage with God; therefore, there shall be no shortage in your life. This is your year and you shall surely testify. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. They shall gather against you but not by God, as many are gathered against you shall fall for your sake. They will come against you one way and flee before you seven ways. Hold on to the word and be assured that I will hear your testimony!Further Reading: Matthew 14:22-32;Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Psalms 66-67; Evening- Romans 7
