Count Your Blessings in Christ

Psalms 103:1-5(NKJV), Ephesians 1:3

Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. *Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

It is good for us to always count our blessings. However, we must refrain from limiting those blessings to the natural or material things that we have or experienced. We must learn to consistently count our blessings in Christ. The greatest work God has done for you is what He has done for you in Christ. Thanking God for the things He has done for us in Christ helps us to remain rooted and grounded in Christ and it makes us abound in (i.e., it stirs up the manifestations of) the things God has done for us in Christ (Colossians 2:6).

The way to count your blessings in Christ is to look into God’s word and rejoice about everything God’s words say you are, have and can do in Christ, by Christ, with Christ and through Christ. For example , in Christ, you are a son or daughter of God through faith (Galatians 3:26). God is your Father and you are His son or daughter, just like Jesus is. This is a great privilege in indeed that is worth rejoicing about always (1 John 3:1)

Because you have been “(ingrafted) in Christ (the Messiah) you are a new creation (a new creature altogether); your old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new you has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, AMP.) Because you are in Christ, there is no more condemnation for you and you have been set free from the law of sin and death ( Romans 8:1-2 ). There is a new law at work in you called the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. In Christ , you have been consecrated, purified and made holy. You are now called a saint ( 1 Corinthians 1:2, AMP ). By the sacrifice of Jesus, you are forever perfected in God’s sight ( Hebrew 10:14 ). In Christ , you are anointed ( 2 Corinthians 1:21 ).

Prayer:
Rejoice and thank God for as many things as you can think of and remember all that you are , all that you have and all that you can do now because of Christ.
