Memorise: Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Ephesians 5:20
Read: Philippians 4:6-7
- Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
- And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Bible In One Year: Malachi 1-4; Revelation 22:1-21
MESSAGE:
Wow! Its the last day of the year and God has been good. My child, you need to show your gratitude to Him. You may feel that there are some expectations that were not met, the good news I am sharing with you today is that whether all your expectations were met or not met, God is still God and He is a good God. He expects all His children to thank Him in every situation. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says:
“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”
Beloved, what is there not to be thankful for? Be grateful for the gift of life. Be grateful that you are hale and hearty. Be thankful for your family and friends. Think of all the blessings you received this year, think of the accidents you escaped this year. If you are grateful for this years blessings, you will get more next year. Count your blessings, name them one by one and you will see that the Lord has been good!.
Action Point:
Worship God throughout today.
Hymn: To God Be The Glory
- To God be the glory, great
things He hath done,
So loved He the world
that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an
atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate
That all may go in.
Chorus:
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father,
Through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory,
Great things He hath done.
- Oh, perfect redemption,
the purchase of blood,
To every believer the
promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus
A pardon receives. - Great things He hath taught us,
Great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing
through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport,
When Jesus we see.
