CULTIVATE THE RIGHT ATTITUDE FOR THE BIG LEAGUE

“The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.” Proverbs 12:27 (KJV)

From his hunting, this man has what to eat but because of laziness, he is hungry. He will not roast what he caught. He has what to eat but he is not ready to discipline himself to roast what he had gotten from hunting. In other scriptures, we are told that the slothful man continues to turn in his bed and continues to complain that there is a lion on the street. (Proverbs 26:13&14).  He will not come out! As a result, he remains poor in life.

When I look at the way a lot of people function, I can tell that they are going nowhere. Those who want to make it in life do not just sit down and expect things to fall on them like a bag of cherries. You cannot play in the big league with that type of attitude. If you were told that anyone who gets to a particular location, as early as 6 am will receive the sum of half a million; rain or no rain, some people will put their heads in the rain and be there.  We make excuses for everything and we over-spiritualise everything. The things we are to do, we are not ready to do them. We just want God to pour on us His blessings.

How serious are you about God’s blessings?  How serious are you about breaking through from the rank of ordinary to extraordinary? When we talk about the big league, you may think it is a farfetched thing. But it is not. It is happening right before our very eyes and my heart bleeds that some sit down and take the Word for granted.  With all they are hearing daily, they are still sitting as though nothing can happen in their lives. That must stop!
It is time to rise and become what God said. It is not what man said. Man can say whatever he wants but it is what God designs for you that is most important and until you become that, you should not be satisfied in life.
