Memorise: What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19

READ: 1 Corinthians 6:15-20

15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.

16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Bible In One Year: 2 Kings 15-17; John 6:1-21

MESSAGE:

Romans 6:23 tell us that every sin has its wage. Whether the wage will be paid immediately the sin is committed or it will be paid after the sin is committed, it doesn’t matter, the most important thing to know is that it will be paid at some point. When someone commits a sin, God could use other human beings, demons, situations or even angels to punish the fellow. However, when a person engages in sexual immorality, God feels hurt that he personally supervises the punishment of that fellow (1 Cor. 3:17). This is because you body is God’s temple and when you commit fornication, you are sinning against the body – God’s temple.

“Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” – 1 Corinthians 6:18-19.

Tell me what kind of child seeks to destroy his/her father’s house?

Key Point:
Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, keep it holy.

Hymn 7:

1.Take my life and let it be
Consecrated Lord to thee
Take my moment and days
Let them flow ceaseless praise.

2.Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of thy love
Take my feet and them be
Swift and beautiful for thee

3.Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my king
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from thee.

4.Take my sliver and my gold
Not a mite would I withhold
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as thou shalt choose.

5.Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall no longer mine:
Take my heart, it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,

6.Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At They feet its treasure store;
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for thee
