“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me” – John 13:20
I have had pastors who flowed with me and were obedient to what I said. However, when it came to dealing with people I sent them, they made the terrible mistake of getting into conflict with them.
Some failed when they had to relate with my bishops. Some failed when they had to relate with my assistant pastors. Some even failed when they had to relate with my secretaries. Someone said, “As for Bishop we have no problem with him. He is our father and he has never done anything wrong to us. It is the ‘elder brothers’ who are the problem.” They said, “If it was just the Bishop we would have no problem at all.”
But these people are deluded. To fulfil the will of God you will always have to deal with the people He has delegated.
“Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities” (Acts 3:26).
“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world” (1 John 4:9-10, 14).
