FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 10

Demonstrating the Gospel of the Kingdom

Matthew 24:13-14(GNB, TPT )

But whoever holds out to the end will be saved. And this Good News about the Kingdom will be preached through all the world for a witness to all people; and then the end will cone.*But keep your hope to the end and you will experience life and deliverance. “Yet through it all, this joyfull assurance of the realm of heaven’s kingdom will be proclaimed all over the world, providing every nation with a demonstration of the reality of God. And after this the end of this age will arrive.”

Jesus assured us that the Holy Spirit will make us His witnesses. A witness gives evidence that authenticate a claim or testimony. God wants your life to serve as proof of the glory and power of His Kingdom. God does not want you to only preach the gospel of the Kingdom. He also wants your life to demonstrate the gospel of His Kingdom.

The Bible says, we have been recreated in Christ to do good works that God already ordained that we should do ( Eph. 2:10). Jesus “…gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”(Titus 2:14.) God wants men to see (witness) our good works, not only hear our powerful words.

Jesus demonstrated the gospel of the Kingdom. In Acts 1:1(NIV) the Bible says, “In my former book , Theophilus , I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach.” Acts 10:38 speaks of how God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power and He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him. Jesus did not only preach and teach the gospel of the Kingdom, He demonstrated it with His life.

We demonstrate the gospel of the Kingdom by manifesting the fruit and the gifts of Holy Spirit. Both signs and wonders and godly character are of importance. The Bible says,”For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of words but of power.” (1 Cor. 4:20. ) God’s word admonishes us to stay away from people who have a form of godliness but deny the power of godliness ( 2 Timothy 3:5 ). The communication of our faith ( preaching of the gospel ) is effectual as people begin to acknowledge every good thing that is in us because of Christ ( Philm. 1:6 ).

Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank You that because of your life in me, I demonstrate your kingdom by manifesting signs and wonders and godly character.
