DEPEND ON THE HOPE OF GOD

“If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” Job 14:14 (KJV)

It does not matter how old you are, God will come through for you. Do you desire a wife? He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour of the Lord. The same is true for a woman. He said, “The desire of the righteous is good and it shall be granted.”

The other day I was discussing with God concerning some of our ladies who think they are aging. He said to me: ‘Age is a number. It is not in the physique. Don’t you remember Sarah? She was already aged and yet kings were looking for her. You can be aging in number but not in the body. It depends on what you are believing.

Job was in a hopeless situation. His children were dead! His body was wracked by sickness, everything was falling apart. But he believed in hope. Job was down, yet he witnessed to his friends: “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth”. (KJV) They said to him Job you are lying, and he stated in Job 23:10: “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold” (KJV). I am not going to be where they left me. There must be progress.

In this world, we run contrary to the hope of man, but we must depend on the hope of God. That is why Paul can say in 2Timothy 1:12: “For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he can keep that which I have committed unto him against that day” (KJV).

Put it in the Hands of God! Now I know why Jesus said what He said in His hopeless situation when His Father turned His back on Him. “Father, into thy hands I commend my Spirit” (Luke 24:46 – KJV).
