“And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.”
2 Kings 4:6 KJV
I found out from the scriptures that God would not bless you beyond your capacity. If I am thirsty for a gallon of water and I call a sister and say: look, I need to drink water. If I give her a glass to fetch me some water to drink, she would come back with a glass full of water, because that’s what I gave to her to get me water. She doesn’t know how thirsty I am. She can only give me water based on the container that I gave her. And since I am thirsty for a gallon, I would drink and still be thirsty. God cannot bless you beyond your capacity.
In 2 Kings 4:6, the miracle ceased when the woman said she had no more container. The instruction was, ‘go and borrow containers and borrow not a few.’ Notice that as soon as the containers she borrowed finished, the miracle ceased. I want to encourage you to begin to raise your vision and believe God for great things in your life. I believe with all my heart that He has already marked you for great things in this season. This is not the era of having everything you need to start. This is the era of God wanting to do big things in your life. He expects you to push your faith out and take what He has given you, so that the glory would be to Him alone. Amen!
Don’t even bother to think how will it be done? The issue is, do you have the capacity to receive it? Your mind cannot even comprehend it. So, don’t try, just receive it. That is all! Then watch God do wonders in your life. Don’t ever allow anyone quench your spirit! Something heavy is coming into your life. Anything contrary to what God has spoken to you is not true. Any challenge, circumstance or feeling you may have that contradicts what God said will bow to the Word of God.
