DEVELOP HUNGER FOR THE THINGS OF GOD

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6 (KJV)

We can’t be static and expect to be used the way God desires. One thing that is necessary and cannot be over-emphasized is the need to develop a hunger for God and the things of God. The continuous growth of every one of us is very important. However, there can be no growth if you are no longer hungry.

When you are hungry, you will devour everything that comes your way. The scripture declares in the book of Proverbs 27:7: “The full soul loatheth an honeycomb, But to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.” (KJV).

You don’t want it when you are full, even if they give you honey. But the hungry person eats the bitter and swallows it. Why? He is hungry! You must have a serious hunger if you want to partake of the glory of these last days. You must have a serious hunger if you want the manifestation of God’s grace in your life. Partial hunger will not suffice!

Hunger is a magnet that brings ideas. Therefore, you must have it. When you are hungry, concepts and ideas begin to flow. If you are hungry, you will attract so many things. If you are hungry, you will attract help.

Hunger will provoke a divine release. Jesus said: “…If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” (John 7:37 KJV). This invitation is for those who are hungry. The invitation is for those who are not satisfied yet. He wants to pour into such people. Where is your hunger?
