DEVELOP THE AUDACITY TO ASK AND RECEIVE

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need”. Hebrew 4:16 (KJV)Audacity talks about boldness! It means very daring; it also means boldness. Have you ever heard people say who gave you the boldness or effrontery or the nerve to do what you are doing? Audacity equally means lack of fear. It means to be brave. And it means to be adventurous. Through the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have received the greatest access as believers. So, you must not be timid when it comes to approaching God.As new creation in Christ, we have access into the very presence of God. When you are approaching God, you don’t have to be afraid because He gave you the access. By yourself you don’t have access. That is what grace did for you. Grace opened the door for you. Our text says: “……let us come boldly……”. Not with fear! Not wondering whether you will be given access or not. The blood has given you access. The blood ushered you into the presence of God. Yes, we were sinners but when we gave our hearts to Christ, the blood covered us. And that blood is what God sees. So, there is no reason to fear. There is no reason to be condemned or have inferiority complex when you are approaching your God.The scripture tells us that our God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask of him. (Ephesians 3:20). That is what he does! He is not El-stingy but El-Shaddai. He wants to give to you. He is favourably disposed to give to you. God is love. He so loved that He gave His only begotten son. God’s love is always disposed to give. His desire is to give and not to take from you. He is favourably disposed to give. If He didn’t spare His son but gave Him freely, how then will He not through Him, give us all things! I declare that you will not be denied!Further Reading: Matthew 7:7-11; Romans 8:32; Hebrews 4:14-16Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Isaiah 14-16; Evening- Ephesians 5:1-16
