Divine Connections

Acts 8:26-31 (CEV)
The…angel said to Philip, “Go south along the desert road that leads from Jerusalem to Gaza.” So Philip left.
An important Ethiopian official happened to be going along that road… He was sitting in his chariot, reading the book of… Isaiah. The Spirit told Philip to catch up with the chariot. Philip ran up close and heard the man reading… Philip asked him, “Do you understand what you are reading?” The official answered, “How can I understand unless someone helps me?” He then invited Philip to come up and sit beside him.

In our text above, God divinely led Philip to an encounter with the Ethiopian Finance Minister so that Philip could minister to him. In the same way, God is going to lead you divinely and connect you with people with whom He wants you to be a blessing to and to fulfil His purpose for your life.

God knows how to orchestrate our lives and various circumstances to ensure that we are able to meet and connect with the right people. The Bible records that on his way to Galilee, Jesus had to pass through Samaria (John 4:3-4, GNB) so that He could meet with and minister to the woman at the well who would then bring her entire city to meet Jesus. Beloved, rest assured that your steps are being ordered by the Lord ( Psa.37:23). On their way to recover all that was stolen from them, David and his men found a servant who had been abandoned because he fell sick. This servant led them to the Amalekites, from whom they recovered all that was theirs (1Sam.30:10-19). God prepared Eve and brought her to Adam (Gen.2:22-25). God granted Abraham’s servant favour in finding Rebekah as a wife for Isaac (Gen.24). God helped Jesus in choosing His disciples (Luke 6:13).

Yield to the leading and promoting of the Spirit of God in your heart. Philip did not know who he was going to meet or what he was going to do when he got there, but he obeyed and moved zealously as He was being led. On his arrival, Philip divinely knew what to say and do. He started a conversation. By the Spirit of God, you also will know what to say and do when you meet with those God is divinely connecting to you.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for those you are divinely leading me to connect with. Thank you for ordering my steps as I yield to your leading.
