DIVINE EMPOWERMENT FOR WORLD CHANGERS
Exodus 3:4, 9-12 (GNB)
When the LORD saw that Moses was coming closer, he called to him from the middle of the bush…*I have…heard the cry of my people, and I see how the Egyptians are oppressing them. Now I am sending you to the king of Egypt so that you can lead my people out of his country.” But Moses said to God, “I am nobody. How can I go… and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” God answered, “I will be with you..
When Moses attempted to save an Israelite by His power and might, he ended up killing an Egyptian and he had to run for his life, as Pharaoh sought to kill him for this, (Exo. 2:11-12). Many years later, God Himself called Moses and sent him to deliver the Israelites from Egypt and this time around, there was a difference.
In your desire to make great impact and bring about changes in the nation or in your sphere of influence, remember that it is not by power nor by might, but by the Spirit of the Lord, (Zech.4:6). If you depend on just your wisdom and zeal, you may end up frustrated. Continue going to God and receiving His empowerment and wisdom concerning that change and impact you desire to see or manifest.
Pharaoh did not let Israel go easily. When God sends and empowers you, there is no guarantee that it is going to be a smooth ride all the way. You will face some difficulties and challenges. The difference however, is that God will keep giving you His wisdom, strength and favour. God Himself will be with you and signs and wonders will follow you. God used ‘the ordinary rod’ in Moses’ hand to do great signs and wonders. God will do great signs and wonders with your ordinary ideas, resources, efforts and contributions.
Prayer:
I yield myself to you dear Lord. I receive your divine wisdom and empowerment to do great exploits in my sphere of influence.
