DIVINE FAVOUR
John 1:16 (AMPC), Job 10:12, Psa.5:12 (ESV, TPT) For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. *Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit. *For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favour as with a shield *Lord, how wonderfully you bless the righteous. Your favor wraps around each one and covers them under your canopy of kindness and joy.
The grace of God attracts divine favour into our lives. When we are conscious of the grace of God, there is a special beauty and fragrance that comes upon our lives that attracts good and wonderful things into our lives everywhere we find ourselves. Things that we do not deserve or qualify for. The favour of God does not only make you receive good things, it also makes people treat you better than they would have ordinarily wanted to treat you. The favour of God can even make people who don’t like you to treat you well, (Prov.16:7). Even they will not know why they are treating you that way. In Matthew 5:5, Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.” To inherit the earth means to find favour on the earth. You will experience the favour of God wherever you find yourself on the earth. Your age, race, qualification or any other factor will not be a limitation. Just like it happened for people like Joseph and Esther.
Do you know how God surrounds you with favour like a shield? There are times that negative things may be set to happen in your life that God will shield you from them and give you His favour instead. God will prepare a table of favour for you in the presence of your enemies, (Psa.23:5). I declare Isaiah 55:12-13 (AMPC) into your life: “For you shall go out […] with joy and be led forth [by your Leader, the Lord Himself, and His word] with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the Lord for a name of renown, for an everlasting sign [of jubilant exaltation] and memorial [to His praise], which shall not be cut off.”
Prayer Focus:
Rejoice and thank God for His shield of favour that is upon your life. Declare and receive divine favour into every area of your life.
