DIVINE HELP THROUGH THE SPIRIT, ANGELS AND PEOPLE

John 14:16 (AMPC), Hebrews 1:14 (NLT & AMPC), 2Tim. 4:11 (AMPC)

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—*No, for the angels are only spirit-messengers sent out to help and care for those who are to receive his salvation. Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation? *Luke alone is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is very helpful to me for the ministry.

There are various ways by which God can cause His divine help to manifest in your life or situation. One major example of them is through the operation of His Spirit in your life. The Holy Spirit strengthens us (Eph.3:16) and the Holy Spirit reveals things to us,z (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit can help us to function in His gifts (1Cor.12:7-11) and His fruit (Gal.5:22-23) and His fullness (Isa.11:2). The Holy Spirit even helps us to pray when we don’t know what to pray or how to pray, (Rom.8:26). The Spirit of God brings about all kinds of fruitfulness into our lives (Isa.32:15) and He reveals and manifests the glory of Christ in our lives (John 16:13-14, 2Cor.3:18).

Another major channel of God’s divine help are the angels of God. The Angels of God surround and protect us as God’s children (Psa.34:7). The angels of God are stronger and more than demons, (2Kings 6:16-17). The Bible says they excel in strength and they hearken to the voice of God’s word, (Psa.103:20). An angel of God opened the prison doors for Peter in response to the prayers of the church, (Acts 12:5-10). The angels of God came to minister strength to Jesus after He was tempted by the devil (Matt.4:11) and while He was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:41-44). Just as the angels of God operated abundantly in the life of Jesus, they will operate abundantly in your life also.

God also uses people to help and encourage us. God used Jethro to give Moses an advice that helped him lead the Israelites better, (Exo.18:14-27). God used Aaron and Hur to uphold Moses’ hands as he lifted up his hands on top of the mountain to help Joshua win the battle (Exo.17:10-13).

Prayer Focus:
Thank God for His Spirit, His mighty angels and the wonderful people He is connecting you with to grant you His divine help right now.
