Divine Hope by the Revelation of the Spirit

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

Joshua 6:2-4 And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, … and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, …

One way that God ignites hope in our hearts and lives is by assuring us of the great and mighty things that He has in store for us because of His relentless love for us. Often times, these things that God lays in our hearts are far beyond our wildest dreams, imaginations or things we think are possible, Eph. 3:20. They are deep things that the natural man cannot understand or thin possible, 1 Cor. 2:14. I am not referring to wishful thinking, imagination or ambition here. I am referring to that which God reveals to you by Himself; things that are in live with His will and purpose for your life, Rom. 8:28.

On her own, Mary would not have imagined becoming pregnant with Jesus without the help of a man. But God revealed it to her and empowered her to manifest it by the Spirit, Luke 1:26-38. Simeon did not decide on his own that he would not die until he saw Jesus. It was revealed to him by the Spirit and he experienced it, Luke 2:25-26. The God who made the earth says, “… Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell you wonderful and marvelous things that you know nothing about,” Jer. 33:2-3 (GNB). With the thick wall that Jericho had, Joshua may have been having doubts about conquering Jericho. However, God assured him that Jericho, its king and all its mighty men had been given into his hands. God then went further to give Joshua the strategy to go about receiving that great victory. I see God revealing great things to you right now by His Spirit. He will also grant you the wisdom and practical steps to take in experiencing it. As you believe and patiently run with these things that God reveals to you, they will surely come to pass, Heb. 2:1-3.
