DO NOT LET THE DEVIL SHIFT YOUR FOCUS
“Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehem-Judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.” Ruth 1:1 KJV
Elimelech took his family and they left for Moab because there was a famine in Bethlehem-Judah. The result was that Elimelech and his two sons died in a strange land. Do you know that the devil wants to shift your focus and vision? He specializes in pulling you out of your place because when you miss your place, you miss your blessing. It is in your place that blessings are commanded. When you miss it, you will be beating around the bush. In the presence of the Lord there is fullness of joy; and at His right hand there are pleasures forever.
You may say, “Brother Mike, you don’t know what I am going through. I can’t find myself worshipping God.” Whether you feel like it or not, just worship the Lord. It wasn’t easy for Paul and Silas. Their backs were lacerated and pained all over but they knew that their only option was to praise the Lord. After praying, they sang praises to God and the prison doors were opened. You see, your worship is not ordinary. I can assure you that as you worship Him today, you will access heaven.
In the book of Ruth 1:6, the Bible tells us that Naomi “arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread” (KJV). The same place where there was famine, Naomi heard that God had visited those they left behind. Your praise and worship will bring you the favor of God.
Do not let the devil shift your focus. Do not let him pull you out of your praise and your place of commanded blessing. You will possess the gates of your enemy in Jesus name.
