MEMORISE: Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: Acts 10:34

READ: James 2:1-9

1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;

3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:

4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?

8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

Bible In One Year: 1 Samuel 19-21; Luke 15:11-32

MESSAGE:

God hates discrimination. He made everyone on earth and He never made anyone to be discriminated against. It does not matter the condition of a person, if you discriminate against them, God will be angry with you.

Don’t discriminate against a person of a different race or tribe from you. Don’t discriminate against someone because they are not as brilliant as you are. Don’t discriminate because they are not as sociable or rich as you are. Don’t discriminate against someone because they are physically challenged. Don’t discriminate against someone because he/she is your house help or driver. Never ever discriminate against anyone.

If you join others to laugh at or look down on someone for whatever reason, you are inviting the anger of God. Jesus came to die for everyone, including your domestic staff. He loves that fellow that you are discriminating so much that He laid down His life for him/her. So you can imagine how He will fight if He decides to fight for that fellow.

Key Point:

Discriminating against anyone will invite the anger of God on you.

Hymn 11:

1.Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?

Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.

2.Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who does on the cross

3.Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation?
To those who are dying in sin?

4.We cannot be channels of blessing
If our lives are not free from sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win.
