Don’t Just Pass by

Luke 10:30-34 (NKJV)

…..”A certain man….fell among thieves, who stripped him….wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now ….. a certain Priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. Likewise a Levite ….came and looked, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came…. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

I do not believe it is God’s desire for any of His children to while away their time on earth without making meaningful and eternal impact on the lives of others. Jesus made an indelible impact. He did not simply come to Seek His own pleasure and wellbeing. Rather, He sought to save the lost and to take away the sins of the world.

Everyday, we have numerous opportunities to impact the lives of others by showing love, solving problems and adding value. There are so many that have been terribly bruised and wounded in the course of their journey through life. Many systems have also been broken down by the wicked in various spheres of life. The least you can do is show concern by embodying the compassion of Christ. It is that compassion that causes you to sincerely empathize and act towards changing the situation of others.

Ask God to use you to provide solutions.jesus was not indifferent to the pain of those He interacted with; if He saw someone who was sick, hurting or in need of salvation, He reached out and touched them.
The oil and wine the Samaritan poured on the injuries of the wounded man are symbolic of the anointing and the love of God. The Samaritan brought healing, comfort and restored sweetness into the injured man’s life. He gave the man beauty for ashes. In the same way the Samaritan brought the wounded man into an inn to be nursed back to life, we too must bring people into God’s house to disciple them into the fullness of Christ.
The compassion of Christ in your heart will cause rivers of living water ( via the Holy Spirit ) to flow out from you to others.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, please lead me and use me to touch the lives of others and to provide divine solutions that will transform humanity today.
