DON’T LET ACCUSATION KEEP YOU DOWN
“Woman, where are thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee? She said, no man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more.” John 8:10-11 KJV
For the woman caught in adultery, Jesus was more concerned in the condemnation than the sin committed. He said, “He that does not have sin, let him cast the first stone.” Does that not show you that Jesus knew that sin was ruling? Otherwise, why did He say that? He knew that they all sinned. By the time Jesus raised up His head, he asked: “Woman, where are your accusers? Where are the people condemning you?”
Beloved, the truth is that the devil will always do his job: he is the accuser of the brethren. Now and then, he jumps on your shoulder and says: “When you were messing up, did you think that the rooster will not come to roost?” Then when you want to believe God to receive that miracle, he reminds you of how many times you committed abortion and tells you that the miracle is only for virgins, so it can never work for you.
Beloved, where are your accusers? Yes, I know you blew it but why do you think that Jesus came? He did not come to call the righteous, He came to call sinners. Jesus was always hanging amongst sinners.
Did Jesus know the woman committed adultery? Did he know that adultery was wrong? Yes, but He came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. So, when the woman confirmed they had all gone, Jesus said, “neither do I condemn you.” In other words, if this woman will amount to anything, I must give her the power of “no condemnation,” and with that power, she will not sin again. Thus, she was discharged and acquitted. For as long as you are still condemned, you will sin again. After all, it doesn’t change anything. But when you have received no condemnation, then you can go and sin no more. You have been released from condemnation. Don’t allow it to keep you down.
