DON’T SETTLE FOR LESS THAN THE FULLNESS OF THE SPIRIT

JOHN 14:12, JOHN 16:6-7 (NKJV)

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. *But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

In Acts 19:2, Apostle Paul asked the believers in Ephesus, “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” He said this because the only qualification for receiving the filling of the Spirit is believing in Christ. God’s willingness to fill us with His Spirit is more than our desire for the Spirit, (Luke 11:13). God has already poured out His Spirit upon us. All we need to do is to receive the filling of the Spirit by faith in Christ. There is no reason why any believer should not be filled with the Spirit.

Now, when you are filled with the Spirit, you must know that it is the same Spirit that filled Christ that has filled you, (Rom.8:11). Jesus told the disciples that the same Spirit that was in Him would dwell in them, (John 14:17). This means that just as the Spirit enabled Christ to walk in God’s fullness, we can also walk in the fullness of the glory, power and blessings by the Spirit of God in every area of our lives.

Do not settle for less than the manifestation of the fullness of Christ and the Spirit. Do not be ignorant of the operations of the Spirit and increase your desire for His operations in your life, (1Cor.12:1, 31).
The Holy Spirit in you is not only for speaking in tongues. He is in you to make you witness for Christ and function in the fullness of Christ.

ACTION POINT:
Pray in the Spirit. Tell God that you desire to function in the fullness of Christ and the Spirit in every area of your life.
